As a mum and freelance writer, Cheyenne Nicholson wears several hats – from content writer and social media specialist, to snack-maker and avid equestrian and reader.
She’s always been a keen writer, but didn’t realise there was a career where she could combine my love of writing with my love of farming, and after spending some time in the insurance and rural sales, she quickly realised neither of those careers was a good fit. But then she came across an advert for a role as a junior reporter for a rural publication. Within just a few weeks on the job, she knew she had landed the right career – a perfect blend of all the things I loved.
She’s now a freelance agri-journalist and content writer for rural publications and agri-businesses all around the country.
Together with her husband, three-year-old daughter, two dogs, one cat and two horses, they live on a small lifestyle block in Manawatū. September 11, 2024
