Ballance Agri-Nutrients has dropped the price of urea and its other products as farmers turn their attention to spring planning.

Urea and SustaiN are back $100 to $795/T and $844/T respectively, Super and Nrich are down $50 to $424/T and $475/T, DAP is back $45 to $1139/T, MOP is back $180 to $795/T and Sulphurgain 90S will be decreasing by $100 to $680/T.

Ballance Agri-Nutrients general manager customer Jason Minkhorst said while prices are starting to move towards longer term average levels, they are still above pre-2020 levels.

“The key drivers are reduced demand globally off the back of high prices, and increased supply. A key watch-out, however, is that global demand may bounce back, and supply remains a risk.

“With recent softening in many of the commodities we purchase, we wanted to get our pricing out to give our farmers confidence for spring.”

A Ravensdown spokesperson said its prices are unchanged.
